Data & SEO E-Commerce Executive

We are in a period of growth, and it is an exciting time to join our team in Claremont, South Africa.
Laura James has an opportunity for an ambitious individual to join our team as a Data and SEO Executive within our E-Commerce team. The role will include auditing and maintaining our online marketplace platforms - specifically Shopify.
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year experience in an SEO role.
- Minimum of 1 year experience using Semrush or Ahrefs.
- Familiarity with website auditing processes, including identifying website bugs and missing data.
- Knowledge or previous experience with basic SEO tasks such as internal linking.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Experience in administrative and data entry roles or similar positions.
- Previous experience using Shopify is advantageous.
- Strong organisational and multitasking abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Keen attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with a team.
- Exceptional time management skills and the ability to prioritise tasks.
- Experience in keyword mining for popular keywords and categories to rank on Google.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Performing regular site audits to identify and document missing product information, imagery, and videos in Excel. This involves checking each product in our entire range for spelling mistakes, missing images, and ensuring consistent formatting from descriptions to dimensions
- Assisting in manually merchandising the website using software such as Klevu and Algolia, using data provided by our marketing and merchandising team.
- Supporting SEO tasks such as but not limited to interlinking, crawling error fixes, keyword mining and optimising meta descriptions with direction from the e-commerce and marketing team.
- Review weekly Semrush audits and help rectify any errors that may arise.
