Duty Manager - NOAH Restaurant

Hours: 45 hours per week, varying shifts based on roster

As our Duty Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the property. You will lead operations across departments, support the team, and ensure every guest receives a high standard of service from arrival through departure.
You will be a hands-on leader who takes ownership of the guest journey, maintains operational standards, and supports the wider team to deliver a consistently excellent experience.
WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?
- Take responsibility for daily property operations, ensuring all departments run efficiently and effectively.
- Act as the main point of contact for guests, providing professional support and resolving requests, concerns, and complaints.
- Lead guest arrivals and departures, ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience.
- Welcome VIP guests and coordinate any special arrangements or requirements.
- Supervise and support front-of-house, housekeeping, maintenance, and other operational teams.
- Coordinate daily tasks, shift handovers, and team priorities.
- Act as Manager on Duty, making operational decisions and providing leadership in the absence of senior management.
- Conduct regular property and room inspections to ensure cleanliness, presentation, and maintenance standards are consistently met.
- Monitor stock levels, operational supplies, linen requirements, and equipment needs.
- Manage cash handling procedures, including floats, reconciliations, and shift reporting.
- Ensure public areas remain clean, organised, and aligned with Noah’s service standards.
- Monitor compliance with health, safety, security, and company procedures.
- Handle incidents and emergencies calmly, professionally, and efficiently.
- Support team training, performance standards, and a positive workplace culture.
- Identify opportunities to improve guest satisfaction and operational efficiency.
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
- Previous experience in a Duty Manager, Assistant Manager, Front Office Supervisor, or similar hospitality leadership role.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in front-of-house or hospitality operations preferred.
- Strong understanding of guest service standards and operational procedures.
- Experience supervising teams and coordinating daily activities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities with the confidence to make decisions under pressure.
- High attention to detail and the ability to prioritise multiple tasks.
- A proactive, hands-on approach with a passion for hospitality.
- Professional, approachable, and committed to creating memorable guest experiences.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays when required.
