Faro is looking for a Store Manager to lead our Woodmead Value Mart store, taking full ownership of the store's commercial performance, team, and customer experience. This role is ideal for a hands-on retail leader who can drive sales, build a strong team culture, and uphold Faro's brand standards on the shop floor every day.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive store sales performance against targets, monitoring daily, weekly and monthly trading results
- Lead, coach and manage the in-store team, including Stock Controllers, Visual Merchandisers and sales staff
- Oversee recruitment, onboarding, rostering and performance management for the store team
- Ensure stock control processes, receiving, and stocktakes are accurately managed
- Maintain merchandising and store presentation standards in line with brand guidelines
- Manage store operations including opening/closing procedures, cash handling and health & safety compliance
- Deliver a consistently excellent customer experience and resolve escalated customer queries
- Build strong working relationships with Head Office, including Buying, HR and Regional teams
- Identify local trading opportunities and implement action plans to grow the store's performance
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience as a Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager in a fashion or lifestyle retail environment
- Strong leadership skills with a track record of building and motivating high-performing teams
- Solid understanding of retail KPIs, stock management, and store operations
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- A hands-on, commercially minded approach with a strong eye for merchandising standards
- Flexibility to work retail hours, including weekends, evenings and peak trading periods
