Overall Purpose of the Job:
The Admissions Consultant is responsible for driving learner enrolments by managing prospective parent enquiries from initial contact through to registration. The role focuses on converting leads into enrolments through proactive sales engagement, exceptional customer service, accurate administration, and consistent follow-up. The Admissions Consultant is accountable for achieving enrolment targets while maintaining accurate records and delivering a positive experience for prospective families. This person will be a brand resource supporting schools where needed.
Output 1: Lead Management & Sales
Key Responsibilities
Respond promptly to all new enquiries received through various channels.
Proactively contact prospective parents via telephone, email and other approved communication platforms.
Qualify prospective families and identify their educational needs.
Build strong relationships with prospective parents throughout the admissions journey.
Conduct consultative sales conversations that effectively communicate the school's value proposition.
Schedule school tours, open day attendance and admissions meetings.
Follow up consistently on all leads to maximise conversion opportunities.
Drive learner enrolment through effective pipeline management.
Meet or exceed individual enrolment and conversion targets.
Identify opportunities to generate referrals and additional enrolment opportunities.
Output 2: CRM & Admissions Administration
Key Responsibilities
Capture and maintain accurate learner and parent information on the admissions system(SIMS).
Ensure all enquiries, interactions and outcomes are recorded promptly.
Update lead status throughout the admissions process.
Maintain complete and accurate applicant records.
Ensure all required admissions documentation is received and processed.
Monitor outstanding documentation and proactively follow up with parents.
Ensure data integrity within the CRM and admissions systems.
Produce accurate admissions reports as required.
Output 3: Customer Experience
Key Responsibilities
Deliver exceptional customer service at every stage of the admissions journey.
Provide accurate information regarding programmes, fees, policies and enrolment requirements.
Ensure all parent enquiries are handled professionally and within agreed service standards.
Build trust and confidence with prospective families.
Maintain regular communication with prospective parents throughout the enrolment process.
Resolve enquiries and concerns promptly or escalate where appropriate.
Create a positive first impression of the school and brand.
Output 4: Sales Pipeline & Performance Management
Key Responsibilities
Maintain an active pipeline of prospective families.
Monitor daily, weekly and monthly sales activity.
Track lead progression through the admissions funnel.
Prepare pipeline reports and sales forecasts.
Identify barriers to conversion and implement improvement strategies.
Participate in sales meetings and admissions planning sessions.
Contribute ideas to improve enrolment growth and customer experience.
Remain informed of competitor offerings and market trends.

Qualifications & Experience
Essential
Grade 12 (Matric).
Diploma or Degree in Business, Marketing, Sales or a related field (advantageous).
Minimum 2–3 years' experience in sales, admissions, customer service or business development.
Proven track record of achieving sales targets.
Strong administrative and organisational skills.
Preferred
Experience within an education environment.
Experience in consultative sales.
Knowledge of admissions processes.
