About the Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Level 1 Apprentice to join our team at Kia Germiston. This entry-level position focuses on providing hands-on training and exposure to various aspects of automotive service and repair within a professional environment. You will learn to assist skilled technicians while developing your technical and customer service skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist experienced technicians in performing routine maintenance and servicing of vehicles
- Learn to diagnose vehicle issues and assist with repairs under supervision
- Gain hands-on experience with automotive tools and equipment
- Participate in training sessions to enhance technical knowledge and skills
- Support the team with administrative tasks, including keeping service records and inventory management
- Ensure a clean and organized work environment in the workshop
- Provide excellent customer service when interacting with customers
- Contribute to a collaborative team atmosphere by sharing knowledge and best practices
Requirements
- A matriculation certificate or equivalent qualification
- Demonstrable passion for the automotive industry and eagerness to learn
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively in a team
- Basic understanding of automotive systems and maintenance is a plus
- Good problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience or exposure in an automotive workshop setting
- Relevant vocational training or coursework in automotive technology
- Valid driver’s license
