About the Position
Cultura Fresh is looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Quality Controller to join our pack-house team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring product quality throughout the production process, ensuring that all products meet company, customer and food safety standards. This is a hands-on role that requires excellent attention to detail, good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced production environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct quality inspections during production and packing.
- Monitor product quality against customer specifications.
- Identify and report quality concerns and assist with corrective actions.
- Complete quality control records accurately and on time.
- Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene and company procedures.
- Monitor product handling, packaging and labelling.
- Assist with internal quality checks and audits.
- Communicate quality issues with production and management teams.
- Promote continuous improvement in quality standards.
Requirements
- Grade 12 (Matric).
- Relevant qualification in Food Technology, Food Science, Quality Assurance or a related field will be advantageous.
- Previous quality control experience in a food production, packhouse or agricultural environment will be advantageous.
- Computer literate (Microsoft Office).
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Fluent in English and Afrikaans.
- Strong attention to detail and good organisational skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
