Job Summary:
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Facilities, Security, and Maintenance Operations Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will oversee the maintenance, security, and overall facilities management of our property, ensuring a safe, efficient, and well-maintained environment for both guests and staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise multidisciplinary teams responsible for maintenance, landscaping, security, and facilities management.
- Develop, implement, and optimize maintenance schedules and procedures to improve operational efficiency.
- Ensure strict adherence to safety and security protocols through regular inspections and risk assessments.
- Manage budgets, vendors, and contracts to guarantee cost-effective and smooth operations.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operations and deliver exceptional guest experiences.
- Oversee insurance claims and related administrative tasks, ensuring timely resolution and compliance with legal requirements.
- Work a flexible schedule, including:
- Providing coverage for other departments as needed to ensure operational continuity.
- Shifts with varying start and end times.
- Regular work on weekends (Saturdays and Sundays) as well as public holidays.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in facilities management, security, or maintenance.
- Demonstrated leadership and management capabilities.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CFM, CPO) are a plus.
Essential Job Functions:
- Provide departmental coverage as needed to ensure consistent operations.
- Uphold guest service as a key priority of the hotel.
- Ensure compliance with local health, fire, and safety regulations.
- Manage security protocols, including opening/closing procedures, key control, and CCTV monitoring.
- Oversee preventive maintenance programs, including deep cleaning, equipment servicing, and property audits.
- Conduct regular inspections of rooms, building exteriors, parking lots, and other areas.
- Manage budgets, forecast revenues/expenses, and meet financial targets.
- Foster a positive work environment, maintain accurate personnel records, and administer disciplinary actions as necessary.
- Lead staff training and development with a focus on facility safety and security.
Facilities Management:
- Ensure regulatory compliance by maintaining current health, fire, and safety certificates.
- Conduct regular audits on assets and maintenance equipment to verify condition and functionality.
- Oversee the management of company vehicles, including:
- Regular inspections to ensure roadworthiness and compliance.
- Verification of drivers' licenses and qualifications.
- Monitoring driver performance and adherence to safety protocols.
Maintenance:
- Schedule deep-cleaning activities, building inspections, and equipment servicing for both interior and exterior areas.
Security:
- Implement and maintain security measures, including perimeter checks, security camera operations, and off-site monitoring or response.
Human Resources:
- Promote a positive and cooperative work environment between staff and management.
- Optimize staff training programs, with a particular focus on facility safety and security.
