We are looking for a reliable, detail-oriented Bookkeeper / Accountant to join our growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the company’s day-to-day financial records, ensuring accuracy, maintaining compliance, and supporting the business with timely financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Process and maintain accurate financial records.
- Manage creditors and debtors.
- Perform bank and account reconciliations.
- Process supplier invoices and customer payments.
- Prepare and submit VAT returns.
- Process payroll and statutory deductions (PAYE, UIF, SDL).
- Prepare monthly management accounts.
- Assist with budgeting and cash flow management.
- Liaise with auditors, accountants, and regulatory authorities when required.
- Maintain fixed asset registers and general ledger accounts.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and South African financial regulations.
- Perform general accounting and administrative duties as required.
Minimum Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Bookkeeping, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years’ bookkeeping or accounting experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Experience with accounting software such as Xero, Sage, QuickBooks, or Pastel.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
Advantageous
- Experience in payroll processing.
- Knowledge of SARS submissions and statutory compliance.
- Experience in a fast-paced SME environment.
Pay: R10 000,00 - R20 000,00 per month
