BLASTING ASSISTANTS
Lomeza Group (Pty) Ltd is looking for a passionate and goal-driven Blasting Assistant, who will be based in Northern Cape Hotazel area. The qualified and suitable candidates applying for this position should meet the below minimum requirements.
Requirements:
· Grade 12
· Valid Blasting Assistant Certificate
· Knowledge of Opencast Mining
· Code 8 or 10 driver’s license
· 3 years’ experience of opencast blasting.
· Ability to charge and close blast holes.
Responsibilities:
· Identify and control hazards.
· Closing of blast holes.
· Closing off areas before blast.
· Preparation of primers.
· Controlling explosives received.
· Timing of blasting rounds.
Assist with tying up blast block
Job Type: Full-time
Education:
- High School (matric) (Preferred)
Experience:
- Opencast Blasting: 3 years (Preferred)
License/Certification:
- Blasting Assistant Certificate (Required)
- Code 8 or 10 driver’s license (Preferred)
