The Recruitment Consultant is responsible for delivering effective, end-to-end recruitment solutions across retail and central support functions. The role partners with hiring managers and business stakeholders to attract, assess and secure high-quality talent while ensuring a positive candidate experience, recruitment compliance and delivery against agreed hiring timelines. Manage the full end-to-end recruitment lifecycle, from vacancy briefing and sourcing through to selection, offer and placement
Develop and execute effective sourcing strategies, including job boards, LinkedIn, social media, direct sourcing and talent databases
Conduct candidate screening, preliminary interviews and structured competency-based assessments
Build and maintain proactive talent pipelines for critical and high-volume recruitment requirements
Support bulk recruitment campaigns, including recruitment for new store openings and business growth initiatives
Partner with Store Managers, Department Leads, HR Business Partners and senior stakeholders to understand recruitment requirements
Provide recruitment advice on talent availability, market trends, salary expectations and realistic hiring timelines
Manage candidate communication, interview coordination, feedback and offer negotiations to ensure a positive candidate experience
Maintain accurate and up-to-date recruitment information on the Applicant Tracking System (ATS)
Monitor and report on recruitment metrics, including Time-to-Fill, Quality of Hire, Offer Acceptance and candidate conversion
Ensure recruitment activities comply with company policies, processes and applicable employment equity requirements
Identify opportunities to improve sourcing, recruitment processes, candidate experience and overall Talent Acquisition effectiveness
Use recruitment data and analytics to identify trends and support informed talent decisions
Grade 12 / Matric is essential
A Diploma or Degree in Human Resources, Business Management, Industrial Psychology or a related field would be advantageous
Proven experience in end-to-end recruitment, including sourcing, interviewing and successful placement
Strong talent sourcing and headhunting skills, with the ability to engage both active and passive candidates
Experience partnering with hiring managers and managing multiple vacancies in a fast-paced environment
Experience in high-volume recruitment and building talent pipelines
Confident using ATS platforms and recruitment data; Teamtailor experience is advantageous, but not essential
Strong communication, relationship-building, influencing and negotiation skills
A proactive, organised and people-focused approach to recruitment
