We are looking for an enthusiastic restaurant general manager to join our new team in Paarl on a well known Wine Estate. The successful candidate will be fluent in English, have had at least 3 years experience in a similar management role, have their own transport and will be an allrounder, hardworking and motivated person who excels at:
- Organising & supervising shifts, ensuring appropriate staffing levels whist service standards are achieved
- Strong leadership skills and willing to lead by example
- Immaculate presentation
- Sound knowledge of food and wine
- Service & Menu Knowledge with a focus on training their FOH team
- Opening and closing of restaurant / daily procedures, cash ups, compliance checks
- Ability to work well under pressure
- High attention to detail and good organisational skills
- Complete daily, weekly & monthly stocktakes
- Daily ordering, in line with stock par levels, invoice capturing
- Focussed approach to managing weekly and monthly COS targets
- Staff rostering and monthly wage cost within specified range
- Maintain high standards of quality control, hygiene and health & safety
- Effective communication between BOH and FOH teams
- Must have own reliable transport
