Position: Medical Sales Representative – Nestlé Health Science
Location: KwaZulu Natal
Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Dietetics/Nutrition, Pharmaceutical Science, Medicine, Biology, or a related scientific field
Experience: Proven experience as a Medical Representative is essential. A minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in the Nutrition/Pharma sector is required. Expert knowledge of nutrition and solid key account management experience is essential.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering precise and detailed information to medical professionals about our products, their benefits, and appropriate usage. The goal is to achieve our company’s objectives within the assigned territory.
A Day in the Life of a Medical Sales Representative
Market Intelligence: Collect, analyze, and interpret data regarding the Medical Nutrition market, industry trends, products, competitors, healthcare systems, and customer insights to inform strategic business decisions.-
Territory Management: Segment prospects (including healthcare professionals and institutions), define territories, develop strategic plans, schedule visits, and optimize routes for effective and efficient coverage.

Communication: Advocate for Nestlé’s mission, values, and principles by delivering detailed information on medical nutrition practices to healthcare professionals, distinguishing our offerings from competitors, and fostering support for Nestlé’s product platforms and services.

Support: Address requests from the healthcare system to enhance patient care (e.g., continuing medical education and equipment), building long-term, sustainable relationships with healthcare professionals and institutions.

Reporting: Maintain accurate records of field activities and data outcomes, ensuring proper documentation and analysis to support decision-making.

Compliance: Adhere strictly to local regulations and industry standards.
What Will Make You Successful?
Medical Representative Experience: A minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Medical Representative, with comprehensive knowledge in Nutrition/Pharma.-
Scientific Expertise: Advanced understanding of nutritional products, including competitor insights, and general nutrition.

Regulatory Knowledge: In-depth familiarity with Nestlé’s guidelines and local regulatory codes.

Business Acumen: Ability to achieve relevant business goals within the market and territory.
