Position Overview:
The Academic Head provides strategic leadership for CTIA's academic function, ensuring excellence, consistency, and innovation across all campuses, including the Online Campus and SPICE. The role is responsible for overseeing academic quality, curriculum development, programme compliance, teaching and learning standards, lecturer performance, and student success while driving the growth and continuous improvement of CTIA's programme portfolio. Working closely with key stakeholders, the Head of Academics ensures that all accredited programmes, corporate training, and short courses remain industry-relevant, compliant, and aligned with CTIA's strategic objectives, reinforcing the institution's reputation as a leader in culinary and hospitality education.

Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in education, Hospitality, Culinary Arts, Business, or a related field.
- A postgraduate qualification in Education, Leadership, Management, or a related discipline will be advantageous.
- Assessor and Moderator certification will be advantageous.
- Strong digital literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Office and learning technologies.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, leadership, and people management skills.
Experience
- A minimum of 5–8 years' experience within the education and training sector.
- At least 5 years' experience in a senior academic leadership role.
- A minimum of 5 years' experience leading and managing teams.
- Proven experience in curriculum development, programme design, academic quality assurance, and academic management.
- Experience managing multi-campus and/or blended and online learning environments.
- Sound knowledge of accreditation requirements, regulatory compliance, and quality assurance frameworks.

- Valid South African ID or Passport.
- Valid driver's licence.
- Valid and authentic qualifications and supporting academic transcripts (where applicable).
- Current professional registrations and/or scope of practice, where applicable.
