We are looking for an Art Team Lead to join our team and lead the delivery of high-quality creative work. In this role, you'll support and develop your team, encourage collaboration, drive results, and help create a positive and innovative working environment. You'll balance day-to-day delivery with a strategic mindset, making sound decisions, adapting to change, and ensuring the team produces great work that meets quality and business goals.
Responsibilities:
Provides Technical Design Leadership

Actively sets the direction for new developmental projects in the team

Maintains a thorough knowledge of all applications and pipelines supported by the Creative Service Team

Collaborates with team members to ensure that all new developed products on the production pipeline have a template archived and white paper documented

Provides training and on-going support for new Creative Service team members

Helps to maintain the project schedule, assigns relevant resources and facilitates information flow between relevant parties to ensure project deliverables and deadlines are understood and agreed

Researches industry best practices, establishes benchmarks and initiates processes and workflow improvements where necessary

Co-ordinates and communicates all deliverables to ensure that all project deadlines are met
Manage Team (Creative Service)

Assists in mentoring and training programmes for the team.

Collaborates, co-ordinates and communicates all deliverables to ensure that all project deadlines are met.

Effectively allocates appropriate resources to projects, to ensure that project deadlines and requirements are met.

Ensures that company issues, policies and procedures are communicated to the team within 7 days.

Ensures that the team business plan is aligned with the company strategy and working towards achieving the strategy.

Ensures that the team members are equipped with the requisite skill set required for both current and future projects by developing a training and career development plan for each team member.

Communicates professionally and effectively with managers and international partners.

Conducts performance appraisals of team members, taking into account Peer and Manager feedback.

Monitors performance of team members on an ongoing basis and takes effective steps to deal with non-performance.

Oversees all aspects of the team by facilitating and resolving issues, through effective problem solving and communication skills.

Provides feedback to Creative Manager, on a regular basis, regarding team performance and project progress.
Facilitates Interface Design for Software Applications

Conducts the necessary research to understanding project scope.

Collaborates with team and Creative Manager on software requirements, i.e. initial layouts, colour choices and basic design of interface

Facilitates creation of game interfaces ensuring design meets software and interface functionality requirements.

Ensures technical knowledge is shared and applied in the design of high quality graphics to ensure all the functional requirements are met.

Ensures Brand integrity is maintained throughout the design process

Ensures final graphics are quality assured as per requirement specification, and team standards.

Co-ordinates and communicates all deliverables to ensure that all project deadlines are me

Qualifications:
- Relevant tertiary qualification, and/or
-
7+ years experience in a creative role

Previous experience in a senior or leadership role is an advantage
