Join Our Team as a Mineral Rights & Records Specialist:
Are you an organized and detail-oriented professional with a passion for mining and regulatory compliance? Do you have a knack for managing complex applications and maintaining sophisticated databases? If so, we have the perfect opportunity for you! As our Mineral Rights & Records Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our mining and prospecting rights are expertly managed and compliant with all regulations.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- BSc Natural Sciences (Essential/Minimum or)
- BSc Geology (Essential/Minimum or)
- BSc Geography & Environmental Management (Essential/Minimum)
- Certificate First Line Management (Recommended/Desirable)
EXPERIENCE:
3-5 years Relevant mineral tenure experience. Extensive administration and management of mining and prospecting rights that include applications (compilation, submission, tracking and registrations), sustaining (compliance, payments, reporting) and knowledge in the closure, disinvestment of rights and Information Systems (Essential/Minimum) Operational
REQUIREMENTS:
- Psychometric Assessment (Essential/Minimum) (To be conducted by Exxaro)
- Certificate of Fitness (Essential/Minimum) (To be conducted by Exxaro)
Ideal Candidate Profile (Includes but not limited to):
Ability to:
- Compile, submit and track new mining and prospecting right applications to Department of Mineral Resources and other relevant government Departments.
- Facilitate the process to sustain approved rights through compliance with Mineral Act and Regulations within timeframes and set procedures.
- Develop, implement and maintain real time, computerised systems and database for mineral, property and transformational information that satisfies needs of all end users.
