An established and rapidly expanding transport, logistics & software platform business based in Bellville, Cape Town is seeking to appoint an experienced UI / UX Designer on a permanent basis to join their current software platform team.
Responsibilities
- Crafting aesthetically pleasing and intuitive UX components in Figma that resonate with our brand identity and adhere to design standards.
- Enhancing and evolving our brand and design framework.
- Working in tandem with product managers, engineers, and marketing professionals to ensure design coherence with business objectives and user requirements.
- Creating interactive prototypes, wireframes, and high-fidelity visuals for a range of devices and interfaces, including mobile, desktop, and web.
- Performing user research and usability testing to gather feedback that informs and refines design decisions.
- Leveraging Figma to develop dynamic sales presentations that effectively communicate the features and benefits of our products and services.
Experience
- A requirement for a bachelor's degree in graphic design, UI/UX design, or a similar discipline will be a major advantage.
- A solid three years of hands-on experience with Figma for UI/UX design tasks is necessary.
- Must have advanced design skills, with a particular focus on layout, typography, and an understanding of color theory.
- Should be able to work autonomously and manage several projects simultaneously.
- Needs to have superior communication skills, particularly in articulating design concepts to those without a design background.
- Should have conducted user research and testing, with a proven track record of integrating feedback and data to refine designs.
- Must be able to work effectively under pressure to meet deadlines.
- Additional experience with other design software and tools like Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, InVision, or Zeplin is an advantageous plus.
Salary: R40,000 to R60,000/month, negotiable and dependant on skills and experience.
