Boss Scaffolding & Access Solutions (Pty) LTD is currently looking for a Safety Manager
Key Responsibilities
- Compile, maintain, and manage Health and Safety Files for all assigned contracts, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and client requirements.
- Ensure accurate and timely reporting, investigation, and documentation of workplace incidents and safety-related events.
- Conduct risk assessments and develop, review, and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Method Statements as required.
- Develop and implement Fall Protection Plans for working-at-height activities in accordance with national regulations and industry standards.
- Lead and support ad hoc SHEQ projects, including planning, implementation, and monitoring of corrective actions.
- Promote and maintain a positive company image by collaborating with internal stakeholders to continuously improve Environmental, Health, Safety, and Quality (SHEQ) management systems.
- Keep abreast of current SHEQ legislation, industry trends, and best practices through professional development, industry networking, seminars, workshops, and relevant publications.
- Act as the primary liaison between the company and clients on all Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality matters, ensuring strong relationships and compliance with contractual requirements.
- Provide guidance and support to operational teams to ensure the consistent implementation of SHEQ policies, procedures, and legal requirements.
Desired Skills and Competencies
- Strong knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety legislation and SHEQ management systems.
- Excellent report-writing, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to conduct risk assessments and develop practical safety solutions.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and administrative abilities.
- Ability to work independently while effectively managing multiple projects and deadlines.
