Prime Paint & Hardware is looking for a new Senior Colour Matcher / Sales Assistant to join & lead our team. Candidates must be self-motivated, demonstrate a willingness to learn, be computer literate and operate within a team based environment. A strong background in Training and other supervisory roles would be beneficial. Expert Decorative Paint Colour Matching & Alteration ability is essential. Only suitable candidates who meet the requirements below will be considered.

Responsibilities:
- Customising paint colours to meet customers’ requirements.
- Altering paint colours to correct errors.
- HOD of Tinting Department.
- Training and enhancement of tinting systems / processes.
- Basic maintenance / monitoring of tinting equipment.
- Supervisory tasks over Customer Colour Formulation Records.
- Exceed customer expectations by providing excellent customer service together with expert product knowledge.
- Ability to maximise and drive sales by identifying opportunities to increase turnover.
- Ensure individual targets are met consistently and provide motivation to other team members.
- Maintain housekeeping, uphold our visual merchandising standards in order to maximise sales.
- Adhere to stock loss control in store.
- Understand, accept and follow all company policies and procedures.
- Receiving in stock & other general store functions.

Minimum requirement:
- 10+ years of paint & hardware retail experience
- 5+ years of paint colour matching experience
- 2 years of a leadership role / responsibility
- Matric or equivalent
- Plascon, Dulux or Duram module completion
- Clear criminal record
- Computer proficiency
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Knowledge of Duram / Plascon & Dulux computer tinting systems
- Advanced Colour matching / altering ability
- Expert product knowledge
- Reliable transport
