We are looking for a mechanic to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the inspection, maintenance, servicing, and repair of vehicles and equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation. The ideal applicant will have strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills, a commitment to quality workmanship, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Previous experience working on light and heavy-duty vehicles will be advantageous.
DUTIES INCLUDE:
- Service, maintain, and repair of light and heavy-duty vehicles and equipment.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical faults. Ensuring high-quality workmanship and attention to detail.
- Working according to company specifications and quality standards.
- Maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
- Must be willing to perform a practical test on request.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Matric Certificate or equivalent
- Ability to diagnose and repair mechanical faults
- Previous mechanical experience in the maintenance, servicing, and repair of light and heavy-duty vehicles will be advantageous
- Good manual skills, accuracy, and precision
- Physically fit and able to perform manual work
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
ADVANTAGEOUS:
Proven mechanical experience in the maintenance, servicing, and repair of light and heavy-duty vehicles
Experience in a manufacturing or automotive environment
Ability to work under pressure o Knowledge of health & safety regulation
