By evaluating market trends, competitor activity, customer behaviour, risk-reward opportunities, and price elasticity, the incumbent provides recommendations on pricing changes and supports their implementation. Responsibilities include determining acceptable marginal pricing levels, supporting pricing decisions for new products, and designing, implementing, and monitoring pricing champion/challenger tests to optimise customer and portfolio outcomes. The role covers both fixed and variable rate pricing strategies across the portfolio.

A key component of the role is preparing and presenting reporting to various governance forums, including Portfolio Quality Review Forums, Revenue Forums, Executive Committees, and Risk Committees. The incumbent is responsible for communicating portfolio performance, profitability trends, pricing strategy outcomes, and key recommendations to senior stakeholders.
The role includes responsibility for leading and developing a high-performing team through performance management, coaching, succession planning, capability development, recruitment, talent retention, and employee engagement.
