GMSL Group located outside Durbanville is seeking a motivated and technically minded individual to join our team as a Junior Auto Electrical and Pneumatic Assistant.
We are a manufacturing/engineering company that specialize in the fuelling industry.
GMSL Group (Pty) Ltd started in 2018, based on a need in the fuel industry for a single turn-key solution to operational and asset – procurement, maintenance and training.
With more than 10 years’ experience in the transportation and fuel industry, we know the complexities and strain placed on the efficient control of assets in the field required by our clients to ensure you stay operational with the right product at the right time.
About the Role
This is a position suited to someone who is eager to learn and develop practical skills while working under the guidance of a Senior Technician. The successful candidate will assist with the installation, maintenance, fault-finding and repair of automotive electrical and pneumatic systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Senior Technician with auto electrical and pneumatic installations.
- Assist with fault-finding, repairs and maintenance.
- Support the installation of wiring, switches, relays, control panels and related components.
- Assist with the installation of pneumatic pipes, valves, cylinders and fittings.
- Use hand tools, power tools and testing equipment safely.
- Maintain a clean and organised workshop and work area.
- Assist with general workshop and site-related duties.
- Follow company procedures and health and safety requirements.
- Learn to interpret basic electrical and pneumatic drawings.
- Complete other reasonable duties as required.
Minimum Requirements
- Basic knowledge or interest in auto electrical, mechanical or pneumatic systems.
- A technical qualification or relevant practical experience will be advantageous.
- Willingness to learn and follow instructions.
- Good problem-solving ability and attention to detail.
- Ability to work well as part of a team.
- Reliable, punctual and hardworking.
- Valid driver’s licence will be advantageous.

- Willingness to travel and work on client sites when required.
