An established international agricultural and export business is seeking to permanently employ a Stock Accountant at their Wellington head office.
This person will be responsible for managing the daily & monthly movements of stock & packaging on our accounting software. Responsible for the closing of stock balances. Ensuring that all stock movement transactions are processed timeously, to avoid delay with invoicing. Rendering support to the extended stock controlling team by resolving queries & releasing production on SAGE. Be a part of the monthly stock count process & resolve stock variances.
Main Responsibilities
- Process Goods Receiving Vouchers of stock received
- Do warehouse transfers for stock movements
- Release Production on SAGE for liquid and dry products
- Creating/reversal of stock & provision journals
- Site assistance with stock-related queries
- Tracking of stock movements
- Provide guidance & support to the Warehouse Supervisor & extended supply chain team
- Attend Monthly stock count, capture count on SAGE and investigate discrepancies with system quantities
- Post snapshot & compile variance report & send to applicable departments for investigation
- Provide reasons for all stock variances as best as possible
- Process correction journals & recount journals
- Pass Final quantity check on quantity on hand
- Complete Stock loss/gain report
- Create new Bill of Materials on request
- Process amendments to existing Bill of Materials via change request forms
- Provide weekly reports of stock adjustments
- Ad hoc or other related duties as assigned

- Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills (XLOOKUP, etc.)
Minimum Requirements
- BCom Degree or diploma with basic accounting principles, or any other relevant tertiary qualification
- Previous experience in stock accounting is required
- Computer literate (Microsoft Suite)
- Full professional proficiency in Afrikaans and English (speaking and writing)
Salary: Junior to mid level scale, negotiable and based on skills and experience. The salary bracket will be shared with shortlisted candidates.
