RCL FOODS is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to join our RCL FOODS Division. The role will be based in Pretoria West and report to the Plant Engineer. RCL FOODS is looking for an individual with a passion for maintenance, has decision making abilities, has strong compliance and work ethic.
RCL FOODS entrusts the responsible individual to render assistance to the maintenance team in the execution of all electrical, mechanical and civil work and repairs.
Mechanical and Electrical
- Inspection of machinery and equipment as per supplier requirements set out in the maintenance manuals.
- Assisting with the repair of machinery and equipment per breakdown.
Assisting Artisans with Production Machinery and Equipment
- Standby Generators
- Fillers
- Shrink wrappers.
- Boiler
- Ammonia Plant
- Air Compressors
- Air handling units
- Pallet jacks
- Purification plant for water
- Louvers
- Fans Lights
Civil
- Inspection of water systems and main water supply as per maintenance schedule.
- Maintenace and repair of water systems and water supply in accordance to the maintenance plan and schedule.
- Repair of water systems and water supply breakdown.
- Repair of plumbing systems in buildings per breakdown.
- Maintenance and repair of buildings as per the maintenance schedule.
Electrical Maintenance
- Electrical repair of building and plant as per breakdown.
General
- Execution of reasonable instructions issued by authorised personnel of daily tasks.
- Daily inspection of related machinery, equipment and constructions for prevention of breakdowns.
Minimum Requirements
- Matric or equivalent
- NQF 5 or NQF 6 Technical qualifications will be advantageous
- Minimum 2 years relevant experience within a FMCG environment
Knowledge:
- Welding,
- Measuring
- Knowledge of tools and application
- Basic knowledge of fitting
