Purpose:
To safely pack and stack product, substrate, stock items and final product, and to operate, forklift, guillotines, shredders and compactors.
Key Responsibilities (not limited to):
- To ensure the preparation of product involving substrate and stock items.
- To ensure safe operations of forklift equipment.
- To ensures safe operation of guillotine.
- To ensure safe operation of Vaculex.
- To ensure that the product and stock items are marked clearly for identification.
- To unpack final product for despatch on receipt from Finishing Department.
- To ensure effective and safe shredder operations.
- To ensure all working areas are clean and tidy at all times.
- To comply with all safety, health and environmental and risk requirements as communicated by the section head in handling all products.
- Ensure Health, Safety and Environmental regulations are adhered to in line with the legal requirements for both
- Identify hazards associated with assigned tasks and escalating hazards that cannot be mitigated.
- To perform other tasks as assigned within your ability.
The Preferred Candidate is likely to have:
- Grade 12
- Forklift Driver’s License (Essential)
- Guillotine Operators Certificate (Desirable)
- Compactor Operators (Desirable)
- 1 - 2 years’ experience within a warehousing environment and forklift driving will be added advantage
Knowledge and Skills:
