An established engineering company is seeking an experienced Lifting Machinery Inspector (LMI) to join its growing Load Testing Division.
Minimum Requirements
- Registered as a Lifting Machinery Inspector (LMI) with ECSA.
- Minimum 3 years' post-registration experience as a qualified LMI.
- Practical experience in the inspection and load testing of:
- Lifting tackle
- Overhead cranes
- Ship-to-Shore (STS) cranes
- Valid driver's licence.
- Willing to travel and work overtime when required.
- Good communication and report writing skills.
- Sound knowledge of the OHS Act and applicable SANS standards.
Responsibilities
- Perform statutory inspections and load testing.
- Issue inspection reports and load test certificates.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation and standards.
- Maintain accurate records and provide professional customer service.
