REQUIRED MINIMUM EDUCATION/TRAINING
- Grade 12
- Qualified Miller
REQUIRED MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE
- Minimum of 4 years experience as Miller
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
- Ensure effective internal and external communication to all permanent, outsourced and Head Office personnel
- Timeous, correct and effective dissemination of information to all employees within your department
- Ensure that MPD and OEE targets are achieved at all times
- Manage that incoming maize moisture and ensure optimum moisture addition during 1st conditioning
- Manage routine sampling of maize in 40-ton batches
- Ensure all maize receipts comply with Grade 1 specifications and downgrade non-conforming consignments
- Minimise downtime in accordance with company benchmarks and ensure consistent achievement of the most profitable divide and maximisation of technical performance of the mill
- Coordinate and conduct daily food review meetings
- Manage raw material grading and quality control analysis of all products every two hours
- Ensure routine cleaning and inspection of all conditioning and finished product bins
- Regularly conduct fumigation and hygiene inspection audits and submit reports to the Technical Director
- Manage fumigation equipment and chemicals to ensure zero infestation within the mill and silo
- Build and maintain sound relationships with internal and external clients.
- Monitor all functional operational costs, measure and analyse purchases and operational cost against budget
- Ensure compliance with both HACCP and ISO standards, the quality management system manual and health and safety regulations
- Manage and monitor employee performance standards, identify training and development needs andensure fair disciplinary action to address deviations
