Data Product Owner – Johannesburg or Pretoria (Hybrid)
Contract: 6–12 months (project dependent)
Hybrid: 3 days onsite | 2 days remote
Our client is looking for an experienced Data Product Owner to manage business-facing data products and drive data-driven decision-making across the enterprise.
Minimum Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Product Owner
- Experience delivering Data and/or Analytics products
- Strong understanding of Data Platforms and Analytics
- Product roadmap development and backlog management
- Agile & Scrum experience
- Strong business analysis and stakeholder management skills
- Knowledge of data quality and data governance
- Experience measuring product success through KPIs and value realisation
- Financial Services experience advantageous
- SAFe Product Owner/Product Manager certification preferred
Key Responsibilities:
- Define product vision and roadmap
- Own and prioritise the product backlog
- Collaborate with business, Data Engineering, Analytics, and Architecture teams
- Improve data quality, accessibility, and usability
- Drive stakeholder engagement and continuous product improvement
