Job Purpose
The Mobily Department, Western Cape Government has an opportunity for a suitably qualified and competent individual to execute administration and planning activities regarding fleet crashes, 3rd party claims, legal recoveries, losses, Fraud, traffic fine and misuse management and human resources management.
Minimum Requirements
An appropriate 3-year National Diploma/B Degree (equivalent or higher qualification); A minimum of 3 years middle management level experience. A valid code B (or higher) driving license. NB People with disabilities that restrict driving abilities, but who have reasonable access to transport, may also apply.
Recommendation
Relevant experience in the following: Fleet Management, Risk Management; Legal experience; Budget and financial management; Human Resource management; Supply chain management; Tender compilation; Client services; Mechanical / technical / engineering background.
Key Performance Areas
Manage GMT self-insure risk strategy; Manage crashes, 3rd party claims and recoveries; Manage vehicle related losses and fraud investigations; Manage traffic offence redirections and misuse reporting; Manage the driver database, and review and approve driver sanction requests and cross border letters as fleet proxy; Human resource management; Manage budget for Fleet Risk Management; Prepare input for statutory reporting.
Competencies
Knowledge of the following: Public Finance Management, 1999 (Act 1 of 1999); National Treasury Regulations; Provincial Treasury Instructions; Handbook for Government Motor Transport (Circular 2 of 2019); National Road Traffic Act, 1996 (Act 93 of 1996) and the National Road Traffic Regulations, 2000; National Traffic Information System (NaTIS); Administrative Adjustication of Road Traffic Offences Act, 1998 (Act 46 of 1998) and Regulations, 2008. Skills needed: Proactive action thinking, leadership; problem solving and decision making; Proven computer literacy (Ms Office suite); Planning, organizing, time management skills; Problem solving and decision making; Excellent verbal and written communication skills; Ability to interpret relevant directives and polcies.
Remuneration
All-inclusive salary package of R 849 702 per annum (Salary Level 11)

Notes
