Key Responsibilities:
Staff Management:
Recruit, train, and oversee kitchen staff to ensure high standards of food quality and safety.
Foster a positive and productive work environment, implementing effective teamwork and collaboration.
Cost Control:
Monitor food and labor costs, implementing strategies to minimize waste and optimize profitability.
Develop and maintain budgetary guidelines to ensure financial targets are met.
Inventory Control:
Oversee inventory management, including ordering, receiving, and storage of all kitchen supplies.
Ensure proper stock rotation, maintaining fresh and high-quality ingredients.
Menu Development:
Collaborate with ownership to create and update menu items that reflect current trends and customer preferences.
Ensure that all dishes meet quality standards and are prepared consistently.
Health and Safety Compliance:
Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen, adhering to health and safety regulations.
Implement and enforce food safety practices among all kitchen staff.
Customer Interaction:
Address customer feedback and concerns promptly and professionally.
Occasionally interact with guests to enhance their dining experience.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Kitchen Manager or similar role in a high-volume restaurant/deli setting. IS A MUST
Strong knowledge of cost control, inventory management, and stock rotation techniques.
Excellent leadership and communication skills.
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Culinary degree or equivalent experience preferred.
