We are looking for an IT Support Professional who can support our diverse family with all IT support-related functions at our company, based in Centurion.
We seek someone with the required skillset and fun-loving demeanour to fit into our upbeat and people centric environment.
- Bachelor's Degree: Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- Preferred Certifications:
- CompTIA A+
- CompTIA Network+
- Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate
- ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) Foundation
- Depending on the level of the role, anywhere from 5-8 years of experience in IT support, helpdesk roles, or system administration.
- Familiarity with common operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux) and software applications.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware issues (desktops, laptops, printers, and other peripherals).
- Familiarity with networking concepts and troubleshooting, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and Wi-Fi.
- Knowledge of remote desktop applications and VPN
- Familiarity with mobile device support, including iOS and Android devices.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices and basic malware removal.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to assist end-users effectively.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically.
- Patience and a customer-oriented approach.
- Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Teamwork skills and the ability to collaborate with colleagues.
- Familiarity with cloud services like Office 365,
- Basic knowledge of scripting (like PowerShell or Bash) can be a plus for automation tasks.
- Willingness to keep updated with the latest technological trends and advancements.
- Depending on the organization, on-call availability might be required for off-hours support.
