Job Purpose:
To maintain component requirement preparation for the Ready Meals Production department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage workflow within department
- Ensure daily outputs are consistently met according to plan
- Responsible to coach employees
- Monitor daily progress in accountable area and complete required documentation
- Monitor and audit daily prep against standard yields
- Enforce adherence to Company policies & procedures
- Enforce company safety policies and procedures and creating safe working environment awareness
- Ensure food safety and quality compliance and eliminate rejections
- Resolve workplace issues effectively
- Maintain staff discipline through use of company disciplinary code
- Supervise Wash Up area
- Be flexible in order to get the most out of team
- Ensure hygiene practises of the highest standard
- Manage weekly stock counts and investigate variances root causes
- Manage attendance of staff and complete back to work interviews
- Ensure equipment are properly coordinated
- Ensure machinery is operated optimally and issues reported timeously
- Perform any ad hoc duty as delegated by superiors
- A minimum of Grade 12/ or equivalent.
- At least 2 years in the Food or Beverage Industry with specific focus on hygiene and housekeeping audits.
- Training: GMP, HACCP and WW Code of Practice.
- Computer Literacy (MS OFFICE – Word/ Excel/ Outlook)
Knowledge:
- A sound knowledge of food production and manufacturing processes and techniques.
- Knowledge of food quality and food safety systems and standards.
