We have a unique opportunity for an Experienced Bookkeeper to join our team and to be responsible for the effective management of the business's processes and bookkeeping functions.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Bookkeeping function
- Perform Monthly Bank Statement Reconciliations
- Prepare creditor reconciliations
- Monthly processing of transactions using Xero
- Preperation of VAT reports for monthly submission
Internal audit function
- Monthly Stock Counts. You will be required to prepare, attend and analyse the business's inventory on a monthly basis and to report on any stock losses as well as implementing new procedures and best practises to minimise stock loss
- Reconciliation of Sales to Receipts per bank statements (daily)
Payments
- Prepare payments for release to suppliers
Suppliers
- Reconciliation of supplier invoices
- Reconciliation of supplier statements
Requirements
- Minimum 10 year's experience in a similar function
- High attention to detail
- Ability to improve systems and processes
- High levels of integrity
- Preferably experienced in working with Xero
- Self-starter and proven ability to work independently
- Effective time management skills with ability to prioritise tasks
- Well organised, systematic with good problem-solving skills
- Good team player
Depending on the candidate there could be an opportunity for this to be a full-time role.
For this role you will be able to work remotely for 1-2 days per week.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: R22 000,00 - R28 000,00 per month
Expected hours: 20 per week
