VACANCY: STAFF NURSES FISH HOEK ELDERCARE

If you are a qualified Staff nurse / Enrolled Nurse, based in Cape Town Southern Suburbs, with experience and a passion for working in ElderCare.
This is a junior nursing positions, where you can make a difference, at our Facilities based in Fish Hoek. At Nerina Gardens Night Shift.
This role require high energy, with an ability to multi-task whilst demonstrating patience, compassion and kindness. Our residents and their care are our number one priority.
The successful candidate will monitor and care for residents under the guidance and supervision of a registered nurse (RN).
Key responsibilities include:
- Provision of Care as part of the nursing regimen planned and initiated by a Registered Nurse.
- Administer, record and control medication and other therapies, under supervision of Professional nurse.
- Promotion and maintenance of environment in which the physical and mental health of the resident are promoted
- Assist the Nurse on duty with supervision and coordination of Caregivers whilst working together with Carers to provide all round care to residents.
- Recording of observations, treatment, care given and resident’s responses. Recording and reporting any falls, incidents, or unusual occurrences.

- Basic computer literacy minimum (Microsoft 365)
Working Hours
- 12 hour shifts. Average 15 shifts per month.
Requirements
- Pre 2020 qualification 2 year Diploma / Training (Enrolled Nurse) or SANC new curriculum 3 year Diploma (General Nursing)
- SANC registration as Enrolled Nurse / General nurse
Preference will be given to candidates who have worked with the Elderly. Salary dependant on experience, plus pension.
