Aon South Africa is recruiting a Senior Client Manager in the Trade Credit team based, on a hybrid basis, from our Head Office in Sandton. The role of the senior client manager is to ensure that client relationships are optimum, client accounts are handled effectively and to provide expertise to colleagues and clients as required. Also actively involved in new business proposals and organisation.

Delivering on the agreed plan for the business unit/ area of specialty in line with the Aon South Africa strategy
Leading, developing and improving the day to day client relationship for high premium clients and within the scheme
Responsible for a portfolio of client accounts and manages and co-ordinates all related activities including building a “client profile” of risks and needs analysis
Structures an insurance programme to meet these needs including producing client documentation, leading or contributing to renewal meetings and leading or contributing to fee negotiation
Leading the tender processes (where applicable) within the area of specialty
Maintaining and improving client satisfaction, retention, revenue and profitability including fee negotiation
Analysing and interpreting the markets/ relevant industries for competitive advantage and emerging opportunities
Responsible for compliant dealings with clients
Upholds development of new business either with existing or new clients – spots opportunities for increasing revenue and follows up appropriately
Co-Ordinate teams of Client Service Advisors/ Client Managers to ensure client service standards are met
Managing financials for a portfolio of clients and/ or for area of specialty
Responsible for all technical advice and/ or related training within the area of specialty
Training of colleague and knowledge sharing
Leading of colleagues and assisting in their portfolios with all the above
Develop and work on programs and dashboards relating to clients and the job

Qualifications.

A minimum of Grade 12 or equivalent

A Bachelor’s degree is preferable

Must be registered as a representative with the FSCA in terms of the FAIS Act
-
Must be registered as an associate with the IISA
Knowledge.

Excellent knowledge of policy wordings for Trade Credit

An extensive knowledge of the South African and international short-term insurance markets especially relating to credit

An in-depth strategic knowledge of industry and business strategies and company goals.

Digital literacy with sophisticated know-how in MS Word and Excel.

A solid understanding of risk management methodologies.

Good knowledge of the legislative framework governing the industry.

Have knowledge of underwriting and claims administration / management – in the trade credit space
