The responsibilities of a Waiter/Waitress include welcoming and seating customers, offering detailed menu information, handling various front-of-house tasks, and processing payments. The primary role of our Waiters/Waitresses is to deliver an outstanding dining experience for our patrons.
Responsibilities:

Welcome and seat customers at their tables.

Present the menu and provide detailed explanations as needed (e.g., portion sizes, ingredients, potential allergens).

Prepare tables with linens, silverware, and glasses.

Inform customers about daily specials.

Make menu recommendations upon request.

Upsell additional items when appropriate.

Take accurate food and drink orders using POS software, order slips, or from memory.

Verify customer IDs to confirm they meet age requirements for alcohol consumption.

Relay order details to kitchen staff.

Serve food and beverages.

Inspect dishes and utensils for cleanliness and presentation, reporting any issues.

Set up and maintain a clean dining area.

Present checks and handle payments.

Transport dirty dishes, glasses, and cutlery to the kitchen.

Meet with restaurant staff to review daily specials, menu changes, and reservation details.

Adhere to health department regulations.

Requirements and Skills:

Proven experience as a Waiter or Waitress.

Familiarity with cash registers and ordering systems (e.g., Revel POS or Toast POS).

Basic maths skills.

Attention to detail and patience with customers.

Excellent presentation skills.

Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with a capacity to perform well in a busy setting.
