We are looking for an experienced and organised Logistics Controller to join our team and assist with the efficient day-to-day management of our transport operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and monitor daily truck and driver activities
- Plan and allocate loads to vehicles and drivers
- Track vehicles and monitor delivery progress
- Communicate with drivers, clients and transport teams
- Ensure all loads are collected and delivered on time
- Follow up on outstanding PODs and delivery documentation
- Capture and maintain accurate load and vehicle records
- Monitor fuel usage and vehicle performance
- Assist with resolving breakdowns, delays and operational issues
- Ensure drivers comply with company procedures and client requirements
- Provide regular updates to management
- Assist with general logistics administration and reporting
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Logistics Controller / Transport Controller
- Experience in the trucking and transport industry
- Strong knowledge of logistics and transport operations
- Experience working with trucks, trailers and drivers
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Computer literate
- Strong attention to detail
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Must be reliable, proactive and solution-driven
Experience with long-haul transport and Superlink trucks preferred.
Pay: R8 000,00 - R15 000,00 per month
