Position Overview: Our client is looking for a Wine Tasting Food & Beverage Supervisor to oversee the operations of their tasting room and food pairings. The ideal candidate will be knowledgeable about wine, have strong hospitality skills, and be able to manage the wine-tasting experience while leading a dedicated team. This role is perfect for someone who is passionate about wine and food and thrives in delivering exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities:

Oversee daily wine-tasting room operations, ensuring seamless service for individual guests and groups.

Train, mentor, and supervise a team of wine stewards, servers, and support staff.

Present wine offerings and lead guests through tasting experiences with enthusiasm and expertise.

Assist with food and wine pairings, collaborating with the kitchen team to ensure complementary flavors and exceptional presentation.

Manage guest reservations, special requests, and VIP tastings, ensuring an exceptional guest experience.

Maintain inventory of wine, food, and tasting supplies, ensuring all items are well-stocked and presented beautifully.

Ensure the tasting room and dining areas are clean, organized, and compliant with health and safety regulations.

Handle guest inquiries and feedback, resolving issues promptly to ensure satisfaction.

Collaborate with event managers on private wine tastings, special events, and promotional activities.

Monitor staff performance and provide ongoing training to improve service and wine knowledge.
Qualifications:

Previous experience as a Supervisor in wine tasting rooms, restaurants, or a similar hospitality environment.

Extensive knowledge of wines, particularly in pairing wines with food.

Passion for hospitality with a focus on creating memorable guest experiences.

Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and evenings.

Certification in wine studies (e.g., WSET, Sommelier certification) is a plus but not required.
