Our hotel in Sea Point is seeking experienced Waiting Staff for the hotel's restaurant.
Main duties and responsibilities:

Provide professional and discerning waiter service

Set up of restaurant including place settings, buffet service gear, waiter stations, ensure all surfaces are clean
-
Break down and deep cleaning of all areas of the restaurant and bar after service
-
Preparation of mise en place; napkin folds, polished cutlery, polished glassware, salt and pepper cellars replenished, flowers where appropriate are fresh, crockery is clean
-
Presentation of menus with introduction of offering, highlight exceptional dishes including preparation methods, specials of the day

Taking accurate orders from guests and ensure timely delivery thereof

Conduct business in a professional manner

Deal with complaints, apologize with sincerity, follow through on action taken, obtain feedback and advise management

Generate, present and receipt bill

Assist in the counting of operating stocks
Minimum criteria:

Grade 12 Certificate
-
Ability to read and write in English
-
Ability to converse in English
-
Ability to operate a computer
-
Ability to do physical dexterous tasks

Physically fit to stand on feet for long periods
