GENERAL DESCRIPTION
A Successful candidate will work under a Control Instrumentation Technician who will train and supervise tasks given to them. Such Candidate will need to report and inform on tasks or projects progress to the C&I Technician. This candidate will learn more regarding manufacturing and converting in relation to automation in the paper industry.

MAJOR ACTIVITIES / PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Planning & Productivity
- - To troubleshoot software, hardware, and electrical problems and find and solve the root causes.
- - To execute preventative maintenance schedules on electrical equipment.
- - To Learn to develop new systems and modify and maintain existing systems to ensure optimal performance
- - To manage and implement projects from conception, execution, commissioning to hand over, and ensure objectives are achieved.
- - To perform scheduled maintenance routines (routine debugging, routine backups, etc).
Cost
- To ensure the most cost-effective repairs are undertaken.
- To ensure that company resources are utilised appropriately.
Quality
- To ensure that all systems are always in good working order to prevent quality defects.
- To ensure that workmanship is of a high calibre preventing rework and unnecessary downtime.
Health & Safety
- To ensure a zero-injury rate is achieved.
- To ensure the integrity of all safety devices on all machines and equipment.
- To identify and report potential risks or issues concerning machines, equipment or personnel that could lead to financial or operational damage.
- Complete required documentation of repairs and service information as well as job cards.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED
- Ability to read specifications and technical drawings.
- Analysing information and using logic to address work related issues and problems.
- Must be literate and able to read, write and speak in English.
- Must be able to work under pressure.
- Capacity to work alone as well as work in a team.
- Computer literacy: MS Office.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Min of 0-1 years' experience in a maintenance function within a process industry with experience in the paper industry preferred.
- Minimum: S4/S5 Completed in either Electronic or Process and Instrumentation Engineering. Looking to complete their P1 and P2 Qualification.
- Ideal: Diploma in Electrical Process Instrumentation or Electronic Engineering.

Pay: R10 000,00 - R12 000,00 per month
