Job Overview
Henchem is seeking a creative, organised and digitally minded Digital & Social Media Marketer to join our growing internal marketing department.
The primary purpose of this role is to manage and grow the social media presence of our three brands Henchem, NoMor and Imvelo Training Academy, across Digital and Social Media Platforms.
The successful candidate will plan, create and publish engaging content, assist with basic brand-focused designs and casual video production, update company websites and provide general marketing coordination and administrative support.
This position is suited to a junior-to-mid-level marketer who is passionate about social media, content creation, visual storytelling and digital brand development.
Key Responsibilities
Social Media Management
- Manage the day-to-day social media presence of Henchem, NoMor and Imvelo Training Academy.
- Develop and maintain separate content calendars for each brand.
- Schedule and publish content across Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn and YouTube.
- Write engaging captions and adapt messaging to suit each brand, audience and platform.
- Monitor comments, messages and audience engagement.
- Respond to general enquiries where appropriate and refer technical or customer-related queries to the relevant team members.
- Maintain a consistent posting schedule and ensure content is approved before publication.
- Monitor social media trends and identify relevant content opportunities for each brand.
Content Creation
- Create engaging social media graphics, stories, reels, short-form videos and digital content.
- Capture photos and video content at the office, depots, training sessions, events, product activations and other company activities.
- Edit short-form video content using Canva, CapCut, Adobe Premiere Pro or similar software.
- Create brand, team, culture, educational, event and promotional content.
- Assist with basic, non-technical marketing material when required.
- Repurpose existing marketing material into suitable social media content.
- Assist in telling the stories, values and activities of Henchem, NoMor and Imvelo through creative content.
Complex product artwork, packaging, technical brochures and other advanced graphic design projects will remain the responsibility of the graphic design team.
Website and Digital Support
- Perform routine content updates on the Henchem, NoMor and Imvelo websites.
- Assist with WordPress and Shopify website maintenance.
- Ensure website and social media information remains accurate, current and aligned with each brand.
- Assist with basic email marketing and digital campaign preparation when required.
Reporting and Performance
- Monitor social media reach, engagement, audience growth and overall content performance.
- Prepare concise monthly social media and digital performance reports.
- Identify content that performs well and recommend opportunities for improvement.
- Use platform analytics and insights to support future content planning.
Marketing Support and Administration
- Work closely with the Marketing Manager, graphic designers, videographer, training team, sales teams and other internal stakeholders.
- Maintain organised digital content libraries, marketing schedules and departmental records.
- Assist with campaign rollouts, internal marketing requests and general departmental administration.
Minimum Requirements
- A relevant qualification in Marketing, Digital Marketing, Communications, Media, Multimedia or a related field.
- Two to four years’ relevant experience in social media management, digital marketing or content creation.
- Experience using Meta Business Suite or similar social media management platforms.
- Good working knowledge of Canva, with basic WordPress and/or Shopify experience.
- Basic photography, videography and video-editing skills.
- Strong copywriting, communication, organisational and time-management skills.
- A portfolio showcasing relevant social media, design, photography or video work.
- Ability to manage multiple brands within one company and deadlines while working independently and collaboratively.
- A valid driver’s licence and willingness to attend occasional events and content shoots.
