Infrastructure Manager needed to maintain the Operator’s assets and ensure that safety, quality and performance targets are achieved.
Ideal candidate will have at least 5 to 8 years’ relevant experience in Civil Maintenance with B. Eng, B.Sc. or BTech in Civil Engineering. ECSA Registration will be advantageous.

Executive Maintenance
To maintain the Operator’s assets and ensure that safety, quality and performance targets are achieved. To execute maintenance policy, standards and procedures and ensure reliable and safe infrastructure. To ensure seamless travel for our customers that is safe, reliable, comfortable and friendly.
To ensure contracts under responsibility are managed successfully.
To maintain operator’s infrastructure on a planned and emergency basis to a standard of product quality and service.
To manage the maintenance of infrastructure assets and ensure safety, quality and performance targets are achieved to position the company as a world-class railway system operator.
To manage the handover of the systems under the control of this portfolio to the Gautrain Management Agency.
To participate and assist in all tender requirements.
To manage landscaping contract.
To oversee the management of dolomite areas.
To manage maintenance of all drainage systems.
To ensure infrastructure condition performance targets are met in line with concession agreement.
To manage assets administration through Maximo, Qlikview, Power BI, K2 and other applicable maintenance management systems.
To manage all communication systems e.g. radio, telephone, ticket office intercom, etc.
To establish and espouse standards and practices of the highest level throughout the maintenance division.
To ensure seamless travel for our customers that is safe, reliable, comfortable and friendly.
To manage the asset portfolio within the financial controls and limits set by Executive Maintenance.
Develop budget plan for systems under this portfolio and review at F1 and F2 annually.
To create and update all processes and work instruction to the operational maintenance division.
To monitor asset condition and propose remedial actions.
To conduct investigations into failures and ensure implementation of recommendations.
To manage team ensuring specific measurable achievable realistic time-bound (SMART) objectives are in place and perform performance assessment.
Comply with company policies and promote team spirit.
Fulfil all duties as specified in legal appointment.
Follow-up on technical objectives related to the quality and the efficiency of the maintenance activities.
To monitor the condition of the asset/s
To conduct investigations into failures and ensure implementation of recommendations.
Prepare with the operational maintenance service civil maintenance sub-contracts with respect to safety, quality and technical issues.
Participate in implementing the maintenance plan and ensure it is up to date in Maximo.
Adhere to continuous improvement principles.
Abide to general housekeeping rules.
Compile all reports related to infrastructure assets required by the business.
Enforce compliance to health and safety practises and regulations and ensure monthly safety audits are conducted.
Adhere to maintenance department monthly/quarterly/annual budget and report monthly on budget variances.
Take a proactive role in site projects including representing the engineering function.
Ensure successful handover of new maintainable addition to the system.
Lead the management of LDN (Latent Defects), WDN (Warranty Defects) and DN (Defect Notifications).
Evaluation method statement of works, work procedures, quality control and manage acceptance of works for maintenance.
Manage and update civil maintenance drawings, specifications and procedures.
Conduct analysis on obsolescence treatment.
Conduct regular inspections and audits on suppliers and subcontractors.
Undertake any other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications, Skills & Experience:
At least 5 to 8 years relevant experience in Civil Maintenance.
B. Eng, B.Sc. or BTech in Civil Engineering.
ECSA Registration will be advantageous.
