We are looking for a skilled and motivated Access Control & Security Systems Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, servicing, and troubleshooting of electronic security systems while ensuring exceptional service delivery to our clients.
Key Responsibilities
Installation & Configuration
- Install, configure, and commission access control systems.
- Install and maintain CCTV systems, alarm systems, electric fencing, intercoms, and gate automation systems.
- Ensure installations meet company quality standards and client requirements.
- Complete all wiring, programming, testing, and commissioning of systems.
Maintenance & Repairs
- Conduct preventative maintenance and routine inspections.
- Diagnose and repair faults on security systems.
- Respond to service calls and technical support requests.
- Ensure all systems operate efficiently and reliably.
Customer Service
- Communicate professionally with clients on-site.
- Provide user training and basic operational guidance where required.
- Maintain strong client relationships through excellent service delivery.
Administration
- Complete job cards, service reports, and installation documentation accurately.
- Report technical issues and project updates to management.
- Maintain company tools, vehicle, and equipment in good condition.
Minimum Requirements
- Minimum 2–3 years' experience in the electronic security industry.
- PSIRA Registration – Advantageous
- Relevant technical or security industry certifications.
- Proven experience with Access Control Systems.
- Working knowledge of CCTV, alarms, electric fencing, and gate automation.
- Valid South African Driver's Licence.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting skills.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Professional appearance and work ethic.
- Clear criminal record.
