Job Description Summary:
We are seeking CCTV technicians for temporary, freelance work across Cape Town. Work includes installation, maintenance, and repair of CCTV systems in residential and commercial properties. Hours vary weekly based on client demand.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install and configure CCTV cameras, DVRs/NVRs, and cabling
- Troubleshoot and repair faulty CCTV systems
- Run and terminate cables (RG59, CAT5/CAT6, coaxial)
- Configure remote viewing on smartphones and computers
- Perform site surveys and recommend camera placements
- Provide own basic tools and reliable transport
Certifications Required:
- Electrical or Electronics Certificate/Diploma – preferred
- CCTV Installation Certificate (e.g., from SACCI, PSIRA, or manufacturer training like Hikvision, Dahua) – advantageous
- Valid Driver's licence and own transport
- PSIRA Registration – advantageous for security-related work
Tools Required: Basic hand tools, cable crimpers, tester, drill, ladder
Pay: R180,00 - R250,00 per hour
