Our client is looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Senior Accounts Assistant / Bookkeeper to join their team at their prestigious 5-star game lodge and hotel. In collaboration with Finance Managers, Operations Managers, and General Managers, you will play a key role in ensuring the efficient and profitable operation of our facilities. Your responsibilities will include managing day-to-day financial operations, processing invoices, handling payroll, and reconciling accounts.
Key Responsibilities:

Assist in the compilation of budgets and development of financial programs, schedules, and objectives.

Complete daily, weekly, and monthly financial returns accurately and on time, adhering to company standards.

Process supplier invoices, liaise with suppliers, and resolve queries.

Handle accruals and prepayments related to accounts payable and reconcile petty cash.

Verify Food & Beverage (F&B) receiving, reconcile purchases, ensure invoices match purchase orders and receipts, and align the Aged Accounts Payable report with the general ledger.

Reconcile and balance cash, floats, and dockets to match daily income and expenditure.

Manage monthly payroll and third-party statutory payments; VIP Payroll system experience is a significant advantage.

Prepare the monthly payroll journal and handle debtor processing, reconciliation, and collection.

Notify management of any variances and ensure accurate completion of all documentation for commodity receipt and issuance.

Assist with stocktaking, process stock figures accurately, and maintain secure petty cash vouchers and documentation.

Ensure control systems are effective and operating within agreed parameters.

Prepare and present monthly financial packs and reports to the Finance Manager, highlighting variances and discrepancies.

Adhere to financial manuals and checklists, oversee unit admin staff performance, and support training and development within the admin department.
Requirements:

Proven experience in accounting or bookkeeping, preferably within a hospitality environment.

Proficient in Microsoft Office, with advanced Excel skills.

Proficient in Pastel and VIP Payroll; understanding of OPERA PMS is a plus.

Strong knowledge of financial processes, including accruals, prepayments, and payroll.
