In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining data pipelines and data warehouses to support the organization’s analytics and reporting needs.
This role requires proficiency in SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services), T-SQL, and extensive experience in managing data integration and ETL processes. A strong background in analytics, dashboard creation, particularly with PowerBI, and experience with AWS cloud services is highly desirable.
Responsibilities:
Data Pipeline and ETL Development:

Design and implement data pipelines using SSIS to support the integration and transformation of data from various sources.

Develop and manage ETL processes to ensure efficient and accurate data flow into data warehouses and reporting systems.

Optimize ETL workflows for performance and reliability.
Data Warehouse Management:

Architect and maintain scalable data warehouse solutions to support business intelligence and analytics requirements.

Ensure the data warehouse is optimized for performance and can handle large volumes of data efficiently.

Maintain data models and schemas that support the evolving needs of the organization.
Database Development and T-SQL Expertise:

Write, optimize, and maintain complex T-SQL scripts, stored procedures, and functions to support data processing and reporting.

Collaborate with database administrators and developers to ensure database performance and data integrity.

Perform regular code reviews to maintain high standards of data processing and integration.
Business Analytics and Dashboard Creation:

Support the creation of insightful analytics and dashboards to facilitate data-driven decision-making.

Utilize tools like PowerBI to build interactive and visually compelling reports and dashboards.

Work with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into effective data visualizations.
Data Quality and Governance:

Implement data quality checks and monitoring to ensure the accuracy and reliability of data across systems.

Develop and enforce data governance policies and practices to maintain data integrity and security.

Document data processes, standards, and guidelines to promote consistency and best practices.
Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement:

Work closely with data analysts, data scientists, and business users to understand their data needs and provide appropriate solutions.

Communicate effectively with stakeholders to provide updates and resolve data-related issues.

Foster strong relationships with cross-functional teams to promote data literacy and self-service analytics.
Cloud Integration (Preferred):

Leverage AWS services (e.g., Redshift, S3, Glue) to manage and optimize cloud-based data pipelines and storage solutions.

Assist in migrating on-premises data solutions to the AWS cloud environment.

Ensure data infrastructure in the cloud is scalable, secure, and cost-effective.
Performance Optimization:

Monitor and improve the performance of data pipelines and data warehouses.

Identify and resolve bottlenecks in data processing and reporting.

Implement indexing and optimization strategies to enhance query performance.
Qualifications:
Who are we looking for?

3-5 years of experience in a BI Engineer or similar role with a focus on data integration and warehousing.

Strong expertise in SSIS and T-SQL for building and managing data pipelines.

Extensive experience in designing and maintaining data warehouses.

Proficiency in PowerBI or similar tools for dashboard creation and data visualization.

Familiarity with data modeling, ETL processes, and performance tuning.

Knowledge of AWS services related to data management and analytics (Redshift, S3, Glue) is highly preferred.
