Monitor, analyse, and report on daily and monthly energy trading positions, exposures, and risk metrics.
Prepare and review accounting entries and reconciliations related to energy transactions.
Conduct variance and trend analyses on energy costs, pricing, and consumption data.
Develop and maintain energy risk reporting dashboards and analytics models.
Support month-end and year-end financial close processes, including journal entries and balance reconciliations.
Ensure data accuracy across multiple systems (finance, trading, and operational platforms).
Support audits and compliance reviews by providing documentation and analysis.
Identify opportunities to automate reporting and improve data integrity.
Partner with finance, operations, and data teams to support forecasting and budgeting processes.
Provide insights and recommendations on risk mitigation strategies and performance improvements.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Energy Studies, or Data Analytics.
3–5 years’ experience in energy risk, financial analysis, or accounting (energy or commodities sector advantageous).
Solid understanding of financial reporting principles and risk management concepts.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced) and exposure to Power BI, SQL, or Python preferred.
Experience working with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar).
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data interpretation skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple deliverables within deadlines.
