Our clinical nutrition company is seeking an enthusiastic sales representative with a background in dietetics and nutrition and with a HCP relationship network in Pretoria.
The role is ideally suited for a person who is an "out-of-the-box" thinker and a natural builder with sound scientific knowledge (nutrition, dietetics, human physiology) and the entrepreneurial spirit required to succeed in a competitive market.
The clinical nutrition sales representative will be required to visit public and private hospitals and practices within Pretoria/Centurion/Midrand and use scientific evidence and negotiation skills to launch innovative clinical nutrition products.
The Clinical Nutrition Sales Representative would join a small team of hands-on people who have a true passion for nutrition, innovation, and making a positive impact.
Responsibilities
In this role, your primary responsibilities include introducing the brand and achieving sales targets in and around Pretoria. You will use a science-backed and evidence-based narrative to change how dieticians and specialist doctors think about clinical nutrition.
Additionally, you will find ways to support HCP via education or problem-solving. You must maintain a high call rate and ensure full territory coverage to meet your targets.
You are also responsible for proactively monitoring competitor activity in the area and contributing to business intelligence. Regular reports of your performance will be required. Finally, you will need to attend all necessary trainings, meetings, and at times conferences.
Minimum requirements (non-negotiable)
- A Degree or certificate in Dietetics, Nutrition, Pharmaceutical Science, Biochemistry, or related
- You reside in Pretoria/Centurion
- Understanding the ins and outs of Gauteng's private and public hospitals
- Planning and great time management
- Precise administration
- Valid/unendorsed driver`s license and own car
- Min 3 years of healthcare industry clinical nutrition sales experience in hospitals, clinics with demonstrated ability to achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets. Other relevant healthcare sales experience may also be considered (e.g. pharma)
- Own car, clean license and residence in greater Tshwane area

The Job
- Promote and sell the company’s condition- specific clinical nutrition product range and achieve sales targets
- Build and maintain strong relationships with healthcare professionals and key accounts
- Identify new business opportunities within the greater Tshwane region
- Conduct product presentations and educational visits
- Monitor market trends and competitor activity
- Maintain accurate sales records and reporting
- Occasional trips to neighbouring provinces
