We are looking for a Stock controller that has a proven track record in maintaining inventory, replenishing in line with supply and demand and aid with purchases, audits and transfers. Strong understanding and dedication to following procedures and able to understand the importance of safety measures and functional use of the inventory management system.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
· Co-ordinate stock control operations within department (raw materials) and communicate with production and finance
· Administer the stock process from beginning to end on the inventory system (iSync- WMS)
· Responsible to interpret inventory system with reporting, locating of stock and
· Responsible to understand and work with receipt of stock vs POs outstanding
· Analyse stock inventory to understand trends and forecast stock required to ensure uninterrupted availability of stock
· Manage Pos for incoming trims
· Communicates and is responsible for communicating with purchasing group on the products/stock that is missing from delivers and contact vendors – Ensure inventory is managed and should there be any discrepancies in terms of stock quantity and quality this is communicated and followed through from beginning to end
· Mointors inventory supplies and manages the restocking process
· Oversees stock storage processes, including tagging, boxing, and labelling
· Forecasts supply and demand to prevent overstocking and running out-of-stock (OOS).
· Verifies receipts and confirms purchase contents and orders are complete
· Maintains accurate record of inventory and stock management systems according to set standards and procedures
· Co-ordination of team members within department to ensure all procedures are adhered to stock management
· Maintaining safety by following safety procedures and regulations, such as wearing proper safety wear at all times and following stock removal procedures
· Ensuring all internal procedures are adhered when using stock is being ordered, received, dispatched, allocated, adjusted and located
· Follow of SOPs within the raw materials department to ensure operational efficiency
· Carry out counting of inventory
· General Ad-hoc duties
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
· Bachelor’s degree in logistics, business administration or a related field (inventory control)
· 5-7 Years of experience in Manufacturing Operations (PPE)
· 5-7 Years of experience in Inventory control with Raw materials
· Traceable experience with in-depth understanding of inventory management with designated locations and in line with best practice
· 5-7 Years of experience with working on an inventory control system (admin and extracting reports)
· 2-4 Years of experience on iSync (WMS)
· 3 Years of experience in a Warehouse/Manufacturing with Racking and pallet positioning
· Proficient and experience with understanding and knowledge of standards, certifications, and testing within the clothing/wholesale industry.
· Grade 12 (Matric Certificate)
· Recognition of prior learning (RPL and extensive senior experience within Industry-Manufacturing/Warehouse)
· Intermediate to Proficient understanding of MS Office 365 – Computer literacy
· Analytical and able to plan
· Strong attention to detail– reading and writing English
