Sun International is looking for a Procurement Specialist to execute complex sourcing and procurement activities across the business. The role will analyse spend, lead competitive tenders and commercial negotiations, manage key supplier relationships and contracts, and drive cost-effective, compliant procurement while delivering value and service to internal stakeholders.
The Procurement Specialist is responsible for executing complex operational procurement and sourcing activities to ensure the cost-effective, compliant and continuous acquisition of goods and services. The role analyses category spend, leads competitive tendering and commercial negotiations, manages key supplier relationships and provides specialist procurement guidance to business stakeholders while ensuring adherence to procurement policies, controls and ethical sourcing standards.

Qualifications:
- Relevant Bachelor’s Degree (NQF 7) in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business Administration or a related discipline [Required]
- CIPS Level 4 Diploma in Procurement and Supply [Required]
- CIPS Level 5 / Advanced Diploma [Preferred]
- Advanced certification in Contract Management, Negotiation or Vendor Management [Preferred]
- SAP Ariba or equivalent enterprise e-procurement system certification [Preferred]
Experience:
- 8–10 years’ experience in Procurement and Supply Chain Management
- Experience in complex operational sourcing
- Supplier and vendor management experience
- Contract and commercial negotiation experience
- Experience conducting spend analysis and identifying cost-saving opportunities
- Experience managing RFP and RFQ processes
- Experience managing supplier performance and service level agreements
- Advanced working knowledge of e-procurement platforms such as SAP Ariba and ERP supply chain modules
- Exposure to hospitality, gaming or multi-site service operations is advantageous
