The Logistics and Warehouse Manager is responsible for the end-to-end management of finished goods warehousing and outbound logistics operations within the Beverages division. The role ensures full accountability for finished goods stock accuracy, cold chain integrity, warehousing standards, fleet and material handling equipment management, and outbound transport execution.
The incumbent will drive operational efficiency, safety compliance, housekeeping standards, vehicle and equipment availability, and service level performance while leading warehousing and logistics teams to ensure reliable customer service and operational excellence.
- Warehouse & Finished Goods Management
- Assume full accountability for finished goods warehousing operations and stock integrity.
- Ensure accurate stock management, inventory control, cycle counts, reconciliations, and adherence to FIFO/FEFO principles.
- Maintain cold chain compliance and temperature management within finished goods warehouse operations.
- Drive high standards of housekeeping and warehouse organisation in line with SHERQ requirements and GMP standards.
- Ensure effective warehouse space utilisation and storage optimisation.
- Monitor and reduce stock losses, damages, and handling variances.
- Ensure adherence to warehouse SOPs, operational controls, and governance requirements.
- Outbound Logistics & Transport Management
- Manage outbound logistics operations to ensure on-time and in-full deliveries to customers and depots.
- Oversee transport planning, vehicle scheduling, and fleet availability to support operational requirements.
- Liaise with depots, transport service providers, and secondary distribution partners to ensure service level adherence.
- Monitor route efficiency, turnaround times, loading compliance, and transport utilisation.
- Ensure transport operations comply with legal, safety, and company requirements.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives within outbound logistics operations.
- Fleet & Material Handling Equipment Management
- Manage the availability, maintenance, and utilisation of all fleet and material handling equipment, including forklifts and warehouse handling assets.
- Ensure preventative maintenance schedules are implemented and adhered to for all vehicles and equipment.
- Coordinate repairs, servicing, licensing, and compliance documentation.
- Monitor fuel usage, maintenance costs, equipment downtime, and utilisation efficiency.
- Drive equipment reliability and operational uptime to minimise disruptions.
- SHERQ, Safety & Compliance
- Ensure strict adherence to SHERQ standards, safety regulations, housekeeping protocols, and operational SOPs.
- Lead safety initiatives, inspections, risk assessments, and incident investigations.
- Ensure warehouse and logistics operations comply with food safety, cold chain, and regulatory requirements.
- Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement across all operational teams.
- Ensure corrective actions from audits and safety observations are implemented effectively.
- Team Leadership & Operational Management
- Lead, coach, and develop warehouse and logistics teams to achieve operational objectives.
- Manage staffing levels, shift planning, overtime control, and labour productivity.
- Ensure performance management processes are conducted effectively across the department.
- Drive employee engagement, discipline, and adherence to company standards.
- Build a high-performance operational culture focused on service delivery and accountability.
- Reporting & Stakeholder Management
- Prepare and present operational performance reports relating to warehousing, logistics, fleet utilisation, service levels, safety, and costs.
- Monitor and report on key KPIs including OTIF, stock accuracy, vehicle utilisation, damages, downtime, and labour efficiency.
- Liaise with internal stakeholders including Planning, Customer Service, Manufacturing, Procurement, and Sales teams.
- Coordinate with external service providers, depots, and transport partners to ensure alignment and operational performance.

Minimum Requirements
Qualifications
- Degree or Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Warehousing, or a related field.
- CPIM or CSCP certification will be advantageous
Experience
- Minimum 5years’ experience in warehousing and logistics operations within FMCG or manufacturing environments.
- Proven experience managing cold chain and finished goods warehouse operations.
- Experience managing outbound logistics, fleet operations, and transport planning.
- Strong people management and operational leadership experience.
- Experience working with SAP/ SAP S4 Hana, WMS systems and any other operational reporting tools.
